Where have you gone, Mccain?
The question is is McCain ready to lead. For a man who will turn 72 years this month of Aug 08, he is definitely an immatured politician-erratic, impulsive and subject to peer pressure from the last lunatic who offers him advice. The Obama campaign new mantra is that McCain is “an honorable man running a dishonorable campaign.” Its more like lame and insane and out of sync with the real guy. This is not 1988, when so called Vice President G.Bush turned Michael Dukakis into an unpatriotic coddler of criminals. Bush did have a strong economy and a popular president behind him. Neither it is 2004 when his son Swift-boated John Kerry. He would have won anyways by playing on post 9/11 fear. Its a tragedic that McCain is running a tattered republican banner this year with more than 80% of the citizens thinking that the country is on the wrong track. McCain is patently insincere when his heart’s not in it, just like a small kid who eats peanuts when his parents asks him to but stays unhappy from the inside. Its not clear how committed McCain himself is to this latest assault on Obama. Does he even think that Obama is an egomaniac who thinks that he is Jesus? I think victory for McCain would hardly prove redemptive. You cant govern winning this way, its absurd. I believe that defeat would leave McCain feeling more than unusual depression and he will definitely wonder why he staked his honor just to trade up to the very own White House.
